Costco Boxed Wine, Kirkland Signature Cabernet Sauvignon California

You can find this hidden somewhere in the wine section of your local Costco. I almost missed it because it was at the end of an aisle & I’m used to seeing rows of wine bottles (scroll down for photos). This Costco boxed wine is a fantastic deal if you’re a wine drinker. Don’t let the size of this box fool you, because you get a total of 4 bottles of wine (assuming the standard 750 ml bottle). That’s only $3.25 per bottle of wine. Good luck trying to find a better price than that. This vintage 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon scored an 89 from the wine critic James Suckling. It’s got juicy flavors of red fruit & black cherry with notes of lightly spiced oak & a soft finish. Best of all, it stays fresh for up to 30 days after opening.

Some of the more popular brands I’ve seen are the Black Box Cabernet & the Bota Box Cabernet. They all come in 3 Liter boxes & the other brands range from $15-$20 per box. Pretty hard to beat this deal at $12.99, unless you prefer the other brands. It contains 13% alcohol by volume & even comes with some opening & pouring instructions on the side. This Costco boxed wine is always nice to have around for a party. If you’re looking for a nice dispenser or just want to add a little bit of decor to the boxed wine, please take a look at this dispenser. It’s a really nice looking decorative wooden box that’s insulated & fits the 3 Liter bags perfectly. Check it out……

  1. I have to disagree. The Black Box wine has a better taste.
I know the price of the Kirkland is lower but I say bring back the “Black Box”

    1. I thought Costco still sold the Black Box brand. I’ll take a look next time to see if I can find it

    1. Great to hear! I think our local only has the 2018. I’ll keep an eye out for the 2019. It’s pretty hard to beat 4 bottles of decent wine for $12.99!

  2. Not only is the price fantastic, but the 3L box is more convenient than bottles in the wine refrig. My local store was out of these when I was last in but I will check again today.

    1. It is VERY inexpensive for 3L of wine. Yes, the boxes are very easy to stack. Plus you can fit a whole lot more in the refrigerator when it’s boxed! I am shocked they were out of these being a Kirkland Signature product. I know they tend to move around in my store a lot.
