This recipe could not be easier. The word “recipe” might take offence, since there is only 1 ingredient……..

  1. Cut the zucchini or squash into bite size chunks
  2. Steam for about 15 minutes
  3. Blend with a blender

This was one of the first foods we fed our baby. At exactly the 6 month mark, when the doctor gave us the OK for all foods, we fed him this and he loved it. It’s simple, easy & is good hot or cold. Our kid prefers it cold. For us, it was the perfect food to start baby led weaning or BLW. We make 2 at a time and it lasts 3-4 days in the refrigerator. We use it for breakfast, lunch & dinner; it doesn’t matter. When we pull it out the the fridge, our kid starts kicking with excitement because he loves this stuff so much. When googling for baby led weaning ideas, I HIGHLY recommend to start with this one. He’s now 13 months & it’s still his favorite snack. We never have to worry about him getting his vegetables. It’s high in potassium & vitamin C to keep his immune system strong
