Costco Shrimp Chips, Sokusa Shrimp Garlic Chips 16 oz

Costco sells these garlic shrimp chips for $6.99. Scroll down for photos. I passed up these shrimp chips dozens of times before finally deciding to buy them. I think I partially expected them to disappear off the shelves when I first saw them. The fact they have been stocked for so long made me bite the bullet & try them out. Honestly, they are pretty good. I was taken back at first by the shrimp flavor, because I’m used to chips tasting a particular way. They don’t overpower you with the garlic or the shrimp, but they give you just enough to want more. They are a solid white color, very light in texture & they remind me a little bit of the veggie straws, but not quite as crunchy. These chips almost melt in your mouth after a few bites, so if you like them, they may go quickly. If you’re a shrimp lover I highly recommend them, otherwise you may not want to take the risk. Costco Sokusa Shrimp Chips

Like the bag says, these chips are super light. They are made with tapioca flour that gives them their light texture. I’m not sure if I would buy them again only because I would be the only one eating them. Not sure if I should eat a pound of shrimp chips myself (wife doesn’t like seafood). I wouldn’t pass them up if I saw them in a bowl though. If you want to check out other brands of shrimp chips, make sure to check out these on Amazon…..

  1. Just found out Costco on Kauai may be discontinuing it;( Bought it 3x in the past year. Love them! Saw it on Amazon for $25! Bring them back, Costco!

    1. You never know. These seem to go on / off the shelves frequently at my Costco. I would keep checking back & load up whenever you see them. They are quite addicting!

  2. Where can I buy them in the Houston area? I was able to buy them at COSTCO Pearland but they no longer have them.

    1. Sorry, these are also hit or miss. I saw them on the shelves for a few months and then they were gone. Same thing. No idea if / when they will be back, but I’ll keep my eye out

    2. In LA area, I found in Hawthorne Costco once and bought 3 bags. I have never seen it since. Everytime I shopped Costco Marina Del Rey or Hawthorne I looked for it but never have luck.

      1. Glad you found them! These just got re-stocked on the shelves here in the Bay Area. They don’t seem to sell out that fast, but the people who like them……REALLY like them. Glad you found them. I’m assuming by the 3 bags that you are a big fan?

    1. Ya! They are everywhere in the Bay Area, CA. I’ve seen them consistently at 4 different Costco’s over the last few months. Where are you located? I hope you find them. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tried them because they are so light & crunchy. I hope you find them. Good luck!

        1. San Francisco, South San Francisco x 2 & Foster City. I’ve seen these at almost all my local Costco’s. Let me know if you find them
