Costco Smoked Salmon, Kirkland Signature, Imported

Costco sells their Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon for $19.99. Scroll down for photos. This has been a staple at Costco for years now. I tend to buy this during the holidays or whenever we’re hosting an event. It’s easy, simple & most people enjoy it. It goes great with a platter of cheese and crackers. This particular product comes from Norway. It is an Atlantic Salmon that is raised in a well established Norwegian farm. That is the only knock for this product. I try to only buy wild caught fish because I’ve seen too much bad information on the fish farms. I recommend you do your own research on that though. Either way, I still really enjoy this product. Here is a little more information about this Costco Smoked Salmon……

  • Brand: Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon
  • Farm Raised in Norway
  • Raised without Antibiotics
  • Fresh Packed to Netherlands for Smoking & Packing
  • 2 x 12 Ounce Packs
  • $13.33 / pound

Kirkland Signature Imported Smoked Salmon 2 Pack

This is one of the best prices out there for smoked salmon. Costco also carries another brand that is slightly more expensive, however, that is also farm raised. I’m inclined to stick with the Kirkland Signature brand, because I trust their quality control. This would be great to serve with a bagel & cream cheese or an alternative meat for dinner. It’s also a quick & easy product to bring for snacks or hors d’oeuvres. If you want to check out some WILD CAIGHT smoked salmon, make sure to check out the links below…….

    1. Yes. I get a lot of comments about certain Costco’s not carrying specific products. That’s why I always enjoy going to a new Costco if I’m traveling or visiting a new town. Thanks for the comment

  1. If you look closely at the labeling on the package, you will see that they are now using salmon from Chile, not Norway. And it is definitely not sliced as thinly as it used to be.

    1. Ya, Costco is know to make subtle changes to there products sometimes. The most obvious one I can think of is it’s Apple Pie. It has changed over the years for whatever reason….sometimes for the worse & sometimes for the better. Do you notice a difference in taste? texture? I am a big fan of the thin slices too. It’s something you could always put in a request for through Costco’s website. Thanks for stopping by

  2. The Costco Kirkland brand used to be by far the best smoked salmon one could get. Somehow they must have changed vendors (whoeever makes the Kirkland brand of smoked salmon) because it is simply not good anymore. Does anyone know if the company making the salmon for them has changed?

    1. It may have. I know there is another brand that Costco carries. I’ll buy that one next time & see how it is.
