This is one of the first drone’s I have seen for sale at Costco. It was on display in the middle of the store next to the Arcade1Up Pac-Man & NBA Jam Arcade Machines (near the toys). This thing is small! If you take a look at the photos you can see they have the drone on display. It is folded up & at first glance I couldn’t even tell that it was a drone. It is about the size of my fist. I had to look at the cardboard cutout to know that it was a Costco drone. The ones I have seen at work are large & cumbersome. They probably have more features, but I’m guessing for the home based user, this has everything you would need or want. Here are a few more details about this Costco drone……….
- 3 axis Gimbal 2.7K camera, 12 MP aerial photos
- 249 grams (~0.55 pounds), ultra light-weight
- Includes charging base
- Flight Time: 30 minutes
- 2.49 mile range
- Includes Extra Battery
- Smartphone required

Costco Drone, DJI Mavic Mini
Here’s the deal. Drone’s can cost in the thousands of dollars. You can get this highly rated drone for only $389.99. As long as you have an iPhone or Android smartphone, you can work this drone with the “DJI Fly app”. It’s got tons of cool features & I like the fact it comes with spare propellers & a spare battery. That means you can get up to 60 minutes of flight time as long as you bring both batteries fully charged. Costco currently has over 700 reviews with a 4.5/5 star rating. That is REALLY good for a product like this. After reading through the reviews it looks like you don’t need an FAA license either because the drone is under the federal regulations for weight. I’ll need to double check that but maybe somebody can weigh in on that. If you want to get the UPGRADED bundle, check it out on Amazon………
