It is designed to be a bass fishing set, but can be used to catch numerous other fish in freshwater lakes & rivers. Ugly Stik is a subsidiary Shakespeare fishing rods & they make great stuff! I’ve got several Ugly Stik’s that I’ve used over the years & they’ve been great! I barely maintain them & they get abused constantly because I don’t use cases. They always perform & I’ve never had one break. I’ve lost a few eyes on my other fishing rods, but not my Ugly Stik’s! This is a great starter kit for anyone looking to get into fishing. Costco Ugly Stik Elite 6’6″ Bass Spinning Combo, Fishing Rods
This is definitely a seasonal item at Costco. I’ve seen them carry fishing gear before, but it never last long & usually sells out quick. Even on Costco.com their fishing items rotate frequently. If you see something you want that is fishing related, make sure to buy it. If you price this rod and reel combo out online you’ll spend $90 – $100. This would make a great gift for anyone who is into fishing. I almost bought one myself, but I really don’t need another bass rod. I found this in the center aisle next to all the other outdoor gear.
