Costco sells a Spalding NBA Replica Basketball for $19.99. This is a great deal for an all around indoor/outdoor basketball. For those of you who are unfamiliar, an outdoor basketball is on the lower end of quality when it comes to basketballs. They use different materials that will hold up to wear and tear on the cement. The downside is the basketball has a different feel than a strictly indoor one. You wouldn’t want to use an “indoor only” basketball outside. It will wear out quickly. None the less, this is a great all around basketball for indoor or outdoor. It’s made by one of the most popular brands “Spalding”. We’ve purchased 2 of them & they are exactly what I expected. They’re a little firm & lacking grip so it takes a little while to break in. Here are a few more details about this Costco Basketball….

Spalding NBA Game Ball Replica Silver Series Basketball
So there’s only 3 reviews on Costco at the time of this post. 2 of the reviews mentioned that the balls was lopsided. Like I said, I have 2 of these & neither one is lopsided. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any defective basketballs out there, but I didn’t get one. Take all reviews with a grain of salt, including mine. I’ve been playing basketball for about 25 years now & I am a snob about indoor basketballs. My expectations are low for outdoor basketballs because I understand the limitations (need to be built to play on cement & last). For $20, I would buy this again if I needed an outdoor one.
