Costco Langostino Lobster Tails, Wild Caught & Frozen

Costco sells these wild caught Langostino Lobster Tails for $29.99. Scroll down for photos. This is a great deal because you get 2 pounds for $29.99. That comes out to only $15 / pound which is usually cheaper than most places sell this for. I didn’t know what a Langstino Lobster was until recently. I will be paraphrasing from Wikipedia, but it is the meat of the squat lobster, which is neither a true lobster nor a prawn. They are more closely related to porcelain & hermit crabs. None the less, I absolutely love these! They are already cooked and peeled & store great in the freezer. I find that the 2 pound bag lasts plenty because my wife doesn’t like seafood & I’m the only one that eats them. Win win =). Anyways, here are a few more details about these Costco Langostino Lobster Tails……..

  • Wild Caught Langostino
  • Product of Chile
  • $15 / pound
  • Previously Frozen
  • Contains Shellfish
  • Cooked & Peeled
  • Good source of Protein
  • High in Cholesterol

Costco Wild Caught Langostino Lobster Tails, Previously Frozen, Cooked & Peeled

This is one of those items that I love having in the house. It checks all the boxes important to me. It’s relatively inexpensive compared to lobster & other seafood. It’s healthy being wild caught & a good source of protein. They are SUPER easy to prepare. I defrost them in water for about 15 minutes & usually eat them cold. If I want to heat them up I’ll pan fry them for a couple of minutes with some garlic & butter. Be aware of overcooking and making them rubbery. If you’ve never tried these you need to check them out next time. Make sure to check the nutrition facts before consuming because they are high in cholesterol. These are also fantastic to put out as Hors d’oeuvre’s, so if you do, make sure to pick up a nice platter like these…….

Price: $29.99, Item Number: 40788

    • Keep checking the freezer section. Sometimes they move these around & they can be hard to spot. I still see them at my Costco so it may just be they were temporarily sold out

      • Where are you located? I’m around Fort Wayne IN and they don’t have langostino lobster chunks anymore. So sad because I love them.

  4. I can’t see a count in the pictures like we would see on a bag of shrimp. Do you know about how many are in a package? Thank you.

    • I just purchased these. I can’t be sure how many. All I know is that it weighs 2 pounds. I also don’t plan on taking them out and counting by hand =). They are on the smaller end if that helps
