If you’re a tequila drinker, you should pick up a bottle of this Don Julio 1942 Tequila from Costco. This is one of the higher end tequila’s that Costco carries. I found it next to the Patron and other bottles of Don Julio. It is made in Mexico & was created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of Don Julio’s first distillery. If you check out wine enthusiast, this tequila scores a 98, which is impressive. It is an Añejo, which means it is aged for more than a year on Oak barrels. With that being said, it’s got an Oak flavor with hints of vanilla & is unbelievable smooth. Don’t ruin this stuff and dilute it with mixers; follow the recommendations from Don Julio & serve it on the rocks or neat!
Side Note: I found a few empty boxes as I was inspecting the Don Julio 1942 Tequila from Costco. This is not a “merchandise pickup item”, so make sure you grab a box with a bottle inside it. I’m not sure if it was theft or those were just display boxes, but I thought I would mention it. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch Whiskey is a merchandise pickup item so I suspect the Don Julio 1942 Tequila will be soon.

this IS a pick up item
The boxes are empty to PREVENT theft
take the box to the check out
take your receipt to the pick up window and give it to CUST. SVS.
They will give you the bottle to put in the box.
Interesting. You can see from the photo, they were stocked on the floor. That photo is inside the store. They probably changed that recently since it is such an expensive bottle.
When will Costco be getting 1942 Don Julio back in stock?
It’s always been in stock at my local Costco’s. I have seen it in 3 different Costco’s recently. You can always grab the Item Number from the website & ask a Costco associate if & when they will be carrying it. Good luck finding it & Happy Holidays!
What coscco is this
This is in the Bay Area, CA. I’ve seen this Don Julio 1924 Tequila at all of them. It seems to be a very popular tequila so they always have it stocked.
