We used to buy a few extra boxes of See’s Candy (expensive) for the holiday’s in case we needed any last minute gift items. Now we buy these! It comes in a 3-pack & they work great as gifts for friends, co-workers, neighbors or any last minute presents. It’s milk chocolate that covers not 1 but 2 macadamia nuts & you get 14 pieces per box. I absolutely love these because I love macadamia nuts. These also work great as a gift to bring for holiday gatherings. Costco Hawaiian Host Aloha Gems Chocolate, 3 Pack 8 Ounces Each
I found these next to the refrigerated section at my local Costco. It was hard to miss because they have a huge section of chocolates including gift baskets & other holiday items. Funny Story: we purchased these in Hawaii one year and handed them out when we got back. The following day I go to Costco and see these for sale. I’m thinking I could have saved myself the hassle & purchased these when we got home instead of in Hawaii =). Ha! Costco.com currently sells these online in a 2 pack of 16 oz. each for $18.99 + $3 shipping. That’s almost $0.69 / ounce as opposed to $0.58 / ounce in store. The aloha gems started out pretty good, until we found small worms in them. After almost consuming 2 of the boxes. Opened the third box. Checked very carefully and there were worms in it. They are very small have to look closely, but worms none the less. Totally disgusting.
What happen to the candies we need more…
These are a seasonal item because I do not see them at Costco regularly. Even after I saw them at Costco for the holidays, this specific set was gone the next week. I’m guessing these are one of the more popular chocolates.
