Costco sells this Jackery Solar Generator for $1899.99. Scroll down for photos. This is a great item to have if you travel a lot or tend to have power outages in your area. This would also be great to have around for emergencies or natural disasters. It’s quite expensive at almost $2,000 when compared to gas generators, but it’s a great alternative. The difference is, you don’t need gas for this & you can use it indoors. It also allows you to re-charge via 3 methods…..solar, plug-in, 12V car adapter. I personally have a gas generator for my home, but if money wasn’t an issue, I would probably have one of these as well. It’s small enough to be portable, weighing only 35 pounds, & can run several devices at one time. This can power a griddle, hot plate & coffee maker that will allow you to cook a full on meal. Costco Jackery Explorer 1500 + 2 100W SolarSaga Panels, Solar Saga
At first glance this may not seem like a great deal. Jackery.com sells the Explorer 1500 for $1699. Where the deal comes into play is the 2 SolarSaga Panels that come with the Costco purchase. The solar panels cost $299.99 each so if you try to purchase this entire package from Jackery, it will cost you $2297 + tax. Get the entire package for a $400+ discount at Costco. I found this in the tools aisle next to the other gas generators. Costco sells both gas and solar generators, so you need to figure out which one will work best for you. This is an awesome little generator & with the Battery Management System you can make sure to optimize its performance.
